About Me.
Hi! My name is Stephanie Thormodsgaard. I am a feeding specialist and a mom of 2 tongue tied babies. I have a BA degree in Child and Adolescent Development and an MS degree in Occupational Therapy. I have 15 years experience working with children with varying abilities. I have completed a variety of feeding courses including TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissue Specialty Training, which Is a professional training course that teaches the evaluation of tethered oral tissues and execution of treatments to optimize oral function pre and post release; Feed the Peds, which is an in-depth training course for feeding therapists; SOS approach to feeding, which is a holistic sensory based feeding approach that introduces new foods based on a hierarchy of skills; and actively collaborate other professionals to continue to learn new ways to help the families I work with. I believe in empowering parents and working collaboratively to develop the best treatment plan for each individual family.
